I ran across this photo earlier this week on Pinterest, and I felt like I had to share. We don’t often see images of mature women in our culture, much less mature women in lingerie. It really is a disservice. After all, should women stop feeling good about themselves once they’re past the age of 30?

I posted this picture once, and lost 10 followers and got a ton of hate because I would post a ” fat ” person. This picture is beautiful. Forever reblog tbh.

The second comment is beautiful

i just think he’s so adorable though.

Dotty Jenkins, 48, Effingham, NH   Tattoos done at White Mountain Tattoo in North Conway, NH by Adam Mazza

I lost my hair due to an autoimmune disease called Alopecia Areata so I decided that people are going to stare at a bald woman so I would give them something awesome to stare at and when asked about it I can spread awareness of this life changing disease.

I dare anyone to say something negative about this woman’s ink. What a beautiful strong woman.

every part is me every part deserves to be seen as beautiful

from ‘the giving tree’ .. i always knew i wanted to get a tattoo that had something to do with my son .. and as i grew into my role as a mom-i realized that loved him so much..even more than i love myself..

Are people fucking retarded or possibly just too lazy to actually pick up the damn book and read it. This book actually is one of my favorite books from childhood I feel I can claim that because uhm hello I actually know that the quote in that tattoo is not a quote from the book AT ALL.

The quote that the woman got a tattoo of is an edited line from the book that I’ve seen make it’s way around tumblr. The story of the Giving Tree can be see in different ways but mainly I feel like its a message about the good and bad points of selfless love. I can’t really understand why you’d get that quote tattooed on you because everyone should love themselves especially if they are a mom and pass that message onto their children. But that’s completely my opinion.

That line was NEVER in the book though. I’m surprised no one has pointed this out yet.

Control | Marks Left By Body Magic | Ardyss Body Magic Contol Garment (by zerbetron)

this series of images depicts the affects of various contol garments on the body. Contol garments are marketed to overweight men and women to “reshape” their bodies and aid them in weight loss. By highlighting the affects of these harsh garments on the flesh, I’m hoping to shed light on the body policing and control sold to us as a form of health and beauty.

These marks were left by the Ardyss Body Magic. This garment is marketed men and women to reshape and reform their bodies. Quoted directly from their website:

“With Ardyss Girdles, you can look like you’ve lost 2-3 dress sizes in just a matter of minutes – 10 minutes or less, to be exact. Dubbed by majority of its users as “Body Magic”, Ardyss Girdles are the safe, painless, effortless way to look slimmer right away, and to look good and feel good about yourself in an instant.”

I feel these images adaquately demonstrate just how “safe” and “painless” that process really is.
